Our Story
The hands behind Yarn and Marble belong to a long aspiring artist. That’s me, Jackie.
For as long as I can remember, I have had a great appreciation for the visual arts and music. I tried many different forms of it throughout my life, such as drawing, sketching, painting and learning musical instruments.
I then took up photography. I loved it and I still do, however I thought that finding my art would feel like fireworks.
I began crocheting in August 2020 out of boredom during a long series of COVID-19 lockdowns in Melbourne. That was the moment that I became a fibre artist.

That is me and I absolutely love it. That was all I needed to fill the creative void and to see and feel the fireworks.
UPDATE 2022: We have recently welcomed onboard our dearest Penny. She is a very skilled crocheter with plenty of experience and a passion for crafting and beauty (amongst many other things). You will find plenty of her crocheted blankets and beanies in our shop. We are thrilled to have her!
